Jazmine couldn't understand why she was being told to relax; she didn't see any reason to feel at ease.
Two people arrived outside a tall iron gate, where more guards were stationed. The iron gate was closed, and when the guards saw Kevin approaching, they quickly stepped forward.
"Dear Duke Kevin, welcome to our humble abode. However, we were not informed of your arrival beforehand," said the guard, his tone shifting to a more cautious one as he respectfully addressed Kevin.
Kevin's face darkened, "Are you saying that I'm not allowed to visit my niece?"
The guard hastily stood up straight and said, "Of course not, that's not what I meant."
Kevin snorted, "If that's not the case, why won't you open the door? Or do you need me to ask my niece for permission before I can enter?"
Upon seeing Kevin getting angry, the guard suddenly didn't know what to do. It was true that Allison had instructed him not to let anyone in today.
