"Well, don't stand there and display affection before us. Joshua, come and eat the cake."
Nash interrupted them.
"Okay!" Joshua responded.
But there were so many cakes. Joshua wondered which one he should take.
He wondered if he needed to eat all the cakes in everyone's hands.
Thinking of this possibility, Joshua felt his eyes ache.
Sure enough, he heard Pamela say, "These cakes were made by themselves after a busy afternoon. Before that, they came to ask me what gifts they should give you. I thought about it carefully. You don't lack anything. What's most important is the heart. So I suggested everyone make cakes for your birthday."
"Yes, Joshua, one cake and one wish. Look, there are twelve people and ten cakes here. You can make ten wishes. Such a good opportunity. Don't miss it." Ivy interrupted.
Joshua smiled and nodded.
It looked somehow like a forced smile, though.
