Joshua thought for a while.
He nodded. "Well, I promise you. However, it will be beyond my control if Kelton oversteps the mark."
Lauryn was delighted. "It doesn't matter. As long as you promise me, I will rest assured. Kelton is my son, and I know him well. Without my support, he will not commit any outrages. You don't have to be worried."
"OK."
Lauryn lowered her voice. "I have two. One is brought here by me from Washington. The other is from Matt. When he was in prison, he asked someone to give it to me and tell me to keep it safe. However, he does not know I know it is valuable."
"Matt?"
Lauryn smiled awkwardly. "We had business dealings before. And we keep a good relationship, so he trusts me."
Joshua did not ask further.
Then, Lauryn told Joshua where the two black wooden boxes were.
Although Joshua did not know the uses of the black wooden boxes, he felt they would be useful in the future.
