People began to clear out around one A.M. Luckily most of the Betas hadn't consumed any alcohol, so the Alphas had a safe way home. Scott had helped Albert put a few things into the kitchen to be dealt with later, before stumbling tiredly back into the living room to find his pack again. The first thing he saw, even through the crowd of people shuffling towards the door, was Alex gripping Mitch's arm for dear life as a tall, fit Alpha towered over him. Alex was nearly the same height, but he probably resembled a child in his tipsy state. And Mitch didn't stand a chance without him. Scott weaved through people, doing his best not to push even though he was clearly in a hurry. The Alpha before Mitch went so far as to reach out and caress Mitch's face, and shove Alex out of the way when he tried to intervene. Scott's eyes went red when Alex fell into the wall, but Alex still tried to stand up again well enough to push back.
Scott just grabbed the Alphas shoulder, and yanked him back. "Get the fuck out of here." The drunk Alpha stumbled a little, but then looked at Mitch again. "I want the little one." Scott grabbed Mitch's wrist and held his hand toward the Alpha. "That sucks, because he's engaged."
"We won't tell the Alpha, will we, Cupcake?" Scott dropped Mitch's arm and stood in front of him, putting himself between the two. "I am the Alpha. And I'm going to have to ask you to step the fuck down." Scott turned his head a little to apologize to the Omegas for his language, but the drunkard took that as his opportunity to claw the vulnerable Alpha in front of him. Scott's hand flew up to his face, where he knew would he bleeding soon, and he snarled. "You ignorant little fuck--" Avi appeared out of nowhere and grabbed the drunk Alpha's arm to pull him toward the door. Scott snarled at him one more time, and then turned around. Alex was shaking in fear, and Mitch was holding his hand. Alex instantly reached toward Scott's face. "Alpha, you're bleeding." Scott leaned out of his touch, not wanting to worry about it. He grabbed Alex's arm, before Mitch's, and pulled them completely out of the banquet hall. Kevin and Todrick had brought the car around, Kirstie was now climbing into the passenger seat with Jake's help. Avi was off to the side, practically screaming at the other Alpha, even though he was much shorter. Alex's eyes inadvertently went blue at the sight of both of their angry red eyes. He whimpered and clung to Scott's arm, although Mitch tried to keep it together by just holding Scott's hand as tight as he could. Kevin came running over to them, his hands over his mouth as soon as he saw the blood that was still on Scott's face. "Good heavens, what happened?"
Scott turned to Alex first. "An Alpha shoved him into a wall. Make sure he is okay."
"But Sir, you're--"
"That was an order, Beta." Scott growled, eyes never leaving Avi and the other Alpha. Mitch squeezed his hand, hoping to get his attention. Scott never, ever snaps at Kevin.
But Scott didn't even breathe in his direction, let alone look down at him. Scott just watched Avi shove the Alpha away from him, and point in the direction of the parking lot. Kevin quickly squeaked out a, "Yes, Sir." He went straight to Alex's side, pulling him toward the car, where he knew he'd find Todrick.
Mitch tried again, this time grabbing Scott's suit jacket and tugging on it like a child. "Alpha..."
Scott finally responded to him, but still didn't look away. "What's wrong, baby? Did you get hurt too?"
"No, but... Alpha, please look at me."
Scott reluctantly pulled his eyes away from Avi, to look down at his Omega. Mitch pouted. "You were mean to Kevin. You don't even know how to be mean. So.. I have to ask. Are you okay?"
"Of course. I just... I don't want Avi to get hurt."
"He's pretty tough. I'm sure he's okay."
Scott glanced over at Avi again, and then shook his head. He looked back down at Mitch and frowned. "My face hurts."
"I'm sorry. It might not hurt if you'd have let Kevin fix it without yelling at him." Mitch sassed quietly. Scott frowned even more. "Don't make me feel worse."
Mitch stood up on his tip toes and kissed Scott's cheek, the one that wasn't bleeding. "I'm sorry. But it's true, y'know." "Yeah, yeah. I know."
Kevin walked over slowly, after going back inside and grabbing a rag, and getting it a little wet. He tapped Mitch on the shoulder. "Here." Mitch turned and took it, turning back to Scott. Scott looked directly at Kevin though. "I'm so sorry, Kev. I didn't mean to snap at you."
"That's alright, Alpha. I didn't mean to undermine your authority. I should've just listened."
"Don't say it like that.. Just... I'm really sorry. Am I forgiven?"
Kevin smiled widely. "Of course, Sir." Avi walked over then, jaw clenched, as he still fumed with anger about the Alpha he was talking to. "Come on, you guys. Todrick wants to get Alex back home as soon as possible."
Kevin turned to follow orders, Mitch right behind him. As Scott passed Avi, Avi grabbed his arm, blatantly staring at the wound on his face. "What the Hell happened to you?"
"No, it's cool. Mitchie is gonna clean it up when we get in the car."
"That isn't what I asked." Avi snapped, already short tempered after his encounter with the other Alpha. Scott nodded once, looking down at the ground. "Oh... Well. That Alpha scratched me when I tried to help the Omegas. That's all."
"He scratched you? What an animalistic thing to do." Avi grumbled. Scott shrugged, and went to follow Mitch into the car. Avi followed him, ending up sitting beside Alex, who was beside Todrick.
Alex was leaning into Todrick's side, eyes closed as if he'd already fallen asleep. And there is a very good chance that he actually did fall asleep. Avi leaned forward to see if Kirstie was okay, sitting in the seat in front of him, in the passenger seat. She too, had fallen asleep. Kevin glanced back at him and smiled, before turning and beginning to drive home. Mitch waited a few minutes, before unbuckling himself and crawling over to straddle Scott's hips. Scott immediately set his hands on Mitch's hips and tilted his head a little. "What are you doing, baby?"
Mitch just shook his head, set a hand on Scott's face, and then brought up the towel to gently wipe the blood off of Scott's face. "Taking care of you."
Scott watched his face, and then accidently let his eyes trail up and down Mitch's body, until he noticed Mitch's hands stop moving the towel. Scott met his eyes, and Mitch was smirking at him. Scott blushed and looked down at himself. "Sorry..."
"It's okay. Just, maybe you should wait until we get home before you decide to.. As Kevin so lovingly puts it... 'Ravage' me." Scott smiled a little, and looked back up to meet his eyes. "I'll try to restrain myself." ***********
