Running fast through the corridors, I half expected a teacher or a few people to still be around, but it was deserted and eerie. It didn't take us long to reach the gym and without stopping, Adan ran fast towards the door, smashing his body against it, breaking the lock.
The fresh air hit me instantly as I inhaled the woodsy scent of fresh pine and wet grass. I hadn't even realised how stuffy the classroom had gotten until now. My paws pounding against the moist dirt had my wolf purring in happiness. It had been so long since I let her out to run and I couldn't have felt worse knowing that. I made a mental note to do this more often.
Adan had slowed until I was running alongside him. Shouldn't we be running faster? I figured if anyone was sent looking for the beast that attacked a student, it would be better to get as far away as possible.
