It wasn't what he said that hit a chord inside me, it was the way he said it. The protection in his voice was more than I was expected and so was the conviction of his words.
Whether we would have ended this with a fight or just walked away from each other, I don't know and I didn't get to find out because the next thing I knew, a small girl had stood beside Jude. "Is everything okay?"
Giving her a quick glance, I realised she was a girl from my pack. Sophia. "Yeah, we're good." Jude said, his voice soft with the sudden appearance of a smile.
"Alpha Williams." The girl took a small bow and smiled. She was pretty, with long blonde hair and pink cheeks.
I flashed a pearl white smile. "Just call me Adan." It was tradition and a show of respect, but I didn't get the point of having my pack call me Alpha when I hadn't been given the title yet.
"We should go Sophia." Jude said, resting his hand on the small of her back. "Adan." He said curtly.
