An overwhelming feeling of anxiety and awkwardness spread through me. I felt sick. It upset me knowing everyone was making her feel like that. It was the first time I wished I could blend in with the crowd. Be just another guy walking with his girl. "It won't always be like this. They'll get bored and gossip about something else next week. We're just a hot topic until something else happens."
"In all the time we've been at school, you've never not been gossip, Adan." The corner of her lips lifted slightly.
At her words, my own smirk spread. "Maybe we should give them something to gossip about then, mate." Instead of waiting for her reaction, I gripped her hips and brought her against me, crashing my lips to hers.
Nibbling her bottom lip, my tongue traced along it, waiting for them to part for me. I could feel her reluctance and I hated it. I hated that she felt she couldn't be herself, that she wasn't comfortable.
