Then, just before my life flashed before my eyes, I heard him. "Dammit," he cursed, followed by a loud rustling sound. "Of all the mates, I'd have to get the—"
"The what?" I asked, my eyebrow quirked in amusement.
Adan's head shot up, his eyes meeting mine and smirked, "The stubborn ass." Pushing the last of the overgrowth out of his way, he stalked over to me, grabbed the back of my neck with his hand and crashed him lips to mine. "Will you ever do as I say?"
