Chapter 42 The Auction

Anaya didn't take it seriously.

As he only met her several times, he didn't know her so much.

"Thank you for trusting me, but I am sorry that I am not ready yet to start a new relationship in the near future. You should not waste your time on me."

All she had about love were painful memories.

She was not confident to fall in love with anyone at the moment.

It was an instinct to avoid something that would hurt her. Anaya even wouldn't throw herself into any situation that was just possible to make that happen.

"It is only in the near future, right?"

Anaya suddenly felt that she understood the man.

He was polite and reserved, but decisive and strong. As the superior, he wouldn't give concessions all the time.

"Hearst," she called his name directly, "I'm serious," she said, with a more serious tone.

He stared at her deeply and seriously, "Me too."
