The taxi stopped below the apartment.
Anaya opened the car door and got out. Hearst followed.
"Aren't you going home?"
Hearst said calmly, "I'll help you change your dressing."
Anaya was caught in the rain, so the gauze on her shoulder was wet. Her wound would get infected easily if she did not attend to it in time.
"I can do it myself."
"Are you sure?"
She didn't say anything.
Because she wasn't.
Since she was wounded, she couldn't get her hand up on that side of the shoulder. It was difficult for her to wrap herself in gauze. What was more, her back was wounded as well. She could not see the wound on her back and could not change the dressing by herself.
But she did not want Hearst to enter her apartment again.
It was OK in the past. However, he had just expressed his feelings for her not long ago, and she would feel a bit strange letting him enter her place.
