Lexie's voice was as gentle as usual. "Maybe people just love to gossip about the little secrets between the rich and powerful families. Stop playing with your tablet and go wash your hands. Breakfast is ready."
Bria nodded and got up to wash her hands.
Lexie sat down at the dining table when Joshua called.
"Lexie, what are you doing?" he asked in a tired voice.
"I just cooked and was about to eat breakfast. What's wrong?"
"It's about our engagement. I've decided to hold the engagement ceremony next month."
Joshua had been busy the whole day and had no time to look at his phone. Now that he finally had a break, he immediately told Lexie his decision.
He had been restless and always felt that something would happen if he kept stalling.
Lexie was delighted and thought that Joshua had this idea because he was influenced by public opinion.
It seemed that she had made the right move.
