Joshua sized up Hearst's attire from head to toe, and his expression gradually sank. "You're living here now?"
Hearst blocked the door, not intending to let Joshua in. "I don't want to tell you. And it seems to have nothing to do with Mr. Maltz."
Joshua blurted out, "How is it unrelated?!"
After saying that, Joshua also realized that he was too nosy. Joshua made it seem like he cared a lot about Anaya.
After a pause, Joshua added, "Although Anaya has divorced me, she is my ex-wife after all. Your visit at midnight is not good for her reputation. I'm saying this as a friend."
Hearst did not speak, but the ridicule in his eyes was obvious.
Anaya's voice came from the living room. "Mr. Maltz, we quarreled every time we met. Do you think people will believe that we're friends?"
Joshua choked and had nothing to say.
