The person on the other end of the line said something, and Edison's expression grew stern.

He scanned his surroundings to ensure he was alone before lowering his voice. "Are you in Wesbruck? Where are you? I'll come to find you now."

30 minutes later, Edison returned to his palace.

As he entered the living room, he spotted a man in a suit and leather shoes sitting on the sofa.

The man, who had his back to Edison, was preened. Upon hearing Edison's entrance, he turned his head and flashed a smile.

Edison studied him.

The man had a slender face, piercing eyes, and a straight nose. He appeared to be in his fifties but was well-preserved, with nary a wrinkle on his face.

More than a decade had passed, yet it seemed as though nothing had changed.

"It's been so long. Don't tell me you don't recognize me?" The man's voice was calm and composed, his eagle-like eyes shining bright.

Edison returned the smile. "Uncle Collins."
