Chapter 9 A Fight

Trent turned around and stared at Kiley.

That's right. Those people are staring at her.

This girl is not simple.

They are coming for her.

It's fate, and I have to help her!

"What's wrong? Does it taste bad?" Kiley had a sincere expression on her face, and she didn't notice any danger.

"It's quite good!"

Trent sensed the dangerous atmosphere around him and answered calmly. He was now sure that these people were here for Kiley. Although they weren't so good at fighting, he could tell they had been trained.

If she had been left here alone today, something would have definitely happened.

"Trent, if you like it, I will buy it for you every day. How about it? You just have to help me repair the water pipe." Kiley chuckled.

Kiley was innocent and thought that what Trent said was from the bottom of his heart.

Trent did not answer. Instead, he changed the topic and asked, "Are you free today?"

"Ah?

"Me?"

He invited me to go on a date so soon? Do I have to agree now? I can't. I have to be more reserved. I am a girl. Kiley thought that Trent was asking her to hang out, like going shopping or watching a movie. She was making many guesses in her heart.

"Don't misunderstand me. I want to go to a place, but I don't know the way. Can you take me there?"

Trent explained. Yesterday, he got the home address of Spencer's wife and child from Maddox. It was in Los Angeles, and their family ran a listed group with an independent building.

Last night, Trent checked the address of the building before sleep. The area was complicated. Trent said that he didn't know how to go. That was just an excuse to let Kiley follow him.

If these people hiding in the dark dared to make a move, he didn't mind teaching them a lesson.

Kiley didn't think too much about it and agreed. "Okay, I happen to be free today. Let's go out and have fun. By the way, where are you going?"

"Apexbit Group!"

"What? You'll go to that famous pharmaceutical group?"

...

...

"Boss, there is a civilian next to the target. We can't make a move. What should we do?"

On several nearby streets, seeing Kiley leave with Trent, the man monitoring Kiley immediately turned on the radio and conveyed the message.

Jamal Lott was sitting in a high-end club in Chicago at the moment. He stared coldly at the picture sent back by the sniper. His face was as gloomy as ice.

"Civilian? I guess he is the boyfriend of that little bitch."

Jamal smiled sinisterly. "Old bastard, you took my territory, cut off my resources, and ruined my chance of getting wealthy. Do you think I don't dare to touch you? Just wait and see. Today, I will let you know what the consequences are. I will capture your daughter and make her a prostitute. I want to see what you will do!"

With a red wine glass in his hand, Jamal said fiercely, "No matter where he goes, as long as Kiley is alone, tie her up. Remember, move fast!"

"Yes, boss."

Jamal was one of the top three vicious people in Chicago. He was in charge of thirty percent of the underground business. His power and methods were terrifying.

But what he didn't expect was that just a week ago, when he was preparing to get his hands on the silk business worth millions of dollars, someone suddenly appeared and stole his business. That man was from a famous second-rate family, the Danbury family.

The Danbury family offered 16 million to monopolize the silk business and to get a big overseas deal worth 75 million, leaving nothing for Jamal.

Jamal and the Danbury family were strangers. Now they became enemies because of what the Danbury family had done.

At first, Jamal did not want to make a real fuss. He brought his people to visit the Danbury family to cooperate with them. However, the Danbury family looked down on him. They refused to let Jamal enter their home and even splashed dirty water.

This action annoyed Jamal on the spot, so he targeted the daughter of the Danbury family, who had been missing for two years.

Although the night was dark, it was more convenient for the underworld guys to look for a girl.

Jamal's people had found Kiley.

Jamal wanted to use Kiley to take revenge for the humiliation he had suffered in the Danbury's home.

...

...

On the other side, Barton had just woken up from his sleep. He hugged the blond girl beside him. The fragrance coming from her hair could attract thousands of men, but for Barton, it was just a tool to satisfy his daily needs.

The woman he wanted was Rosanna.

Before that, he had to get rid of the younger brother of Rosanna's husband.

Barton thought, you bumpkin, when I find out your identity, it will be the day of your death!

Seeing it was nine o'clock in the clock, Barton thought that Brennen must have woken up at this time.

He got up and put on silk pajamas. He poured a glass of red wine in the kitchen and sat on the leather sofa with his legs crossed. Then he dialed Brennen's number.

"Ding..."

"Hello..." Brennen had just finished eating his breakfast. He drank a sip of water and picked up the phone.

"Brennen, it's me. Have you checked on Trent for me?"

"Barton."

Brennen asked calmly, "Did you get the wrong name? Yesterday, no one called Trent came to see Mr. Olsson. You must have mistaken!"

"Ah?"

As soon as he heard so, Barton sat up straight in surprise. It was impossible. He couldn't have made a mistake. He watched Trent walk into the villa with his own eyes and heard the security guard say "Mr. Olson".

"It's impossible. Brennen, I couldn't have made a mistake." Barton was firmly sure.

Brennen said even more determinedly, "You made a mistake. Last night, I especially asked him to drink coffee and play chess to help you ask about this thing. Guess what he said?

"He said that yesterday no one came to visit him at all. He was born with an upright character and would not lie. Either you got the wrong name, or you were tricked by someone.

"Barton, be careful."

Brennen hung up the phone.

Listening to the beeping sound coming from the phone, Barton got a serious face.
