Chapter 390 In Custody

Ben was in the police force. When the car door suddenly opened, Uncle and nephew Booker, who were sleepy in the car, were awakened by the sound of sharp footsteps.

As their vision was blurry, Marlon whimpered, "Uncle, what's wrong? What exactly happened?"

"Both of their hands were handcuffed on the roof of the car, and it was difficult to move. Marlon couldn't rub his eyes, and the injury on his leg was still aching.

When Booker saw the changed expression on Marlon's face. He tried to comfort him and said in a low voice,

"It's okay, Marlon. It won't be a major problem now. We are certainly protected by Reuben. Don't be afraid!"

After a few days of worrying about all small and big issues. He had gradually learnt a lesson and the most important fact of his life.

He understood that fear is useless. What is destined, it's going to happen sooner or later. So it wasn't in his hands and whatever it is he needed to face it calmly.
