"You must live to the age of 90!"
This was the final bit of hope an old man had for his old friend.
After saying that, Maddox quickened his pace.
Saying goodbye before doing something he had made up his mind for was not to say his last words, nor was it to settle what would happen next. It was like how some people prefer to listen to music the night before the exam, while some would sneak to the Internet cafe behind their parents' backs, and some would even go bungee jumping in order to give themselves the courage to do what they wanted to do.
He was old.
He talked too much.
In fact, he could say more, but he didn't have enough time.
Maddox tried his best to say the words buried in his heart in a few short sentences. He was still very good as he didn't shed tears. He pursed his lips and laughed heartily.
