Braden's words confirmed Shirley's suspicions that he had gone blind.
She was standing right in front of him, but he couldn't see her at all.
"Then you must be Alina."
Without giving it much thought, Braden pointed to the chair next to him and whispered, "The moon should be fine tonight. The night breeze is cool. Stay with me for a while."
"OK."
Shirley imitated Alina's voice and responded in a low voice.
Braden didn't notice anything unusual. In this situation, no one else was allowed to approach except his mother and Alina. Naturally, he wouldn't think of anyone else.
Seeing the man fumbling for something, Shirley guessed that he was thinking about coffee, so she thoughtfully handed the coffee cup to him.
Their fingers touched for a brief moment.
Braden's eyebrows furrowed. He seemed to have discovered something, but he didn't show it and took a sip of his coffee.
