Chapter 16 : To Be The Recluse

Wes’ POV

Eva doesn’t drink or do any of typical the party fanfare. So she’s clear-minded enough to drive us back to the dorm without me having a panic attack.

“My body is a temple,” she once told me, sucking me off on a yacht in full view of her father. Well, I was in view, sitting in the captain’s chair. He’d slapped my back and said I was like the son he’d never had. Eva swallowed me whole knowing I’d have to reply, the wet clench of her throat had nothing on the sinister glint of her eyes, hidden underneath the ship’s console.

I came while telling him thank you.

I knew Eva thought I was thanking him for her. That’s the only reason why she squeezed my thigh after, coming up for air with a Guinness to her lips to cloak the smell of me on her breath. She made sure her father drank after her. He never once said anything about the taste.

It was not with affection when she kissed my temple than on the yacht her father owned. It was a claim. A mark.
