What now?

'I don't know what to say. And even if it is fake, how could you read it?' Vitus said. I also didn't know what to do. Has this ever happened before? How and Why could I read it? A million questions ran thru my head. This overwhelming sensation of uncertainty and confusion ran over my body like thousands of ants where crawling under my skin. Than my head started to hurt as if it was going to explode in hundreds of little shards. And finally I passed out.

Luckily, I woke up after a few seconds. I could tell from his face that Vitus was feeling the exact same as I did. We were both nailed to the ground from shock. There was nothing to explain why this had happend. There was nobody who could tell what it was. They would either tell you it was from the gods, or they would try to steal it. That's when Vitus tried to touch the book.'Ow, what the hell? It gave me a shock! It gave me a shock...'

'So, it's mine?' I said. 'Well, it appears so. let me try again.' Now he grabbed the book with both his hands. It looked as if there was a literal thunderstorm coming out of the book. Black clouds came streaming out of the pages and blue lightning went al over the place. The roaring sound of thunder was hurting my ears. 'Help, help!' It was Vitus. Because I was in awe of what the book was doing, I hadn't noticed Vitus who was in immense pain.

'No! Stop!' I yelled. And what do you know, IT STOPED. 'Vitus, are you okay?' I said with an alarmed but concerned voice. 'Yes, I'm alright. My hands hurt though. It was as if the book was stuck to my fingers' He seemed fine, but there were some severe burns on his hands. 'I think you should go home.' I said to Vitus. 'Are you sure? I really want to know more. It's just so fascinating!' 'Yes, Vitus' I said. 'I will come back as soon as possible, but right now I just need too clear my mind, okay?'

Vitus went home and me too. The way back was horrible. The book just made me question everything. 'Is Vitus jealous? What would my parents think?' For some reason I was to scared to open the book. All these thoughts were making the way back feel like I was walking for centuries on end. It was driving me crazy.

When I finally got home, I hid the book under my bed. It wasn't the best spot, but I had nothing else. Either way, I went to have diner. 'really, dry bread with water? I'm going to starve if I don't have anything else.' that was my younger sister. she is twelve years old and quite the trouble maker. We have gotten multiple complaints from our neighbors that she had opened the gate to their goat field. However, I didn't care about anything else than the book.

I just told my parents that I was tired and was going to lay in my bed. But I didn't sleep in the slightest. I was wide awake. Slowly it became dark and the stars filed the sky as a warm blanket. I had made myself so tired form stressing myself out, that I eventually dozed of te sleep.

I woke up laying in grass. It felt as soft as the wool of a sheep. in the distance I heard myself saying some weird things. I just wanted to get closer, but as I tried to stand up, my legs gave out and I was stuck to the ground. As I laid there on the ground, trying to decipher the words that where coming from, me? Well not 'me', but my voice. Nonetheless, as I was trying to hear the words, I started moving. And when I looked down, I could see the grass moving me along the ground. When I got closer I saw my father farm. But instead of a baren wasteland, I saw lush crops an hundreds of beautiful flowers growing in between.

As I got closer to 'myself', the crops had grown even more, and the flowers had even more vibrant colors. I could now smell honey and fresh baked bread. I experienced everything while still laying on the ground. The closer I got to myself, the nicer the feeling of everything. The grass got even softer. The smells were even more enjoyable. The colors more vibrant. Than I could finally hear what I was saying. It was a beautiful song that I had never heard before about everything great. About nature and food. About family and friends. About life and about love. As the song came to a close, I sang:

'This is the future, this is the past. Evil will come, Evil will go. But goodness and kindness will be here forever.'

After that I closed my eyes. When I woke up I could hear my father screaming. But this was different. Instead of anger, like normally. This was joy. I looked out my window to see the exact field I saw in my dream. A sweet smell filed the whole house. Than I remembered it, the book! This time I opened it with no hesitation. On the first page it read the exact same as I heard in my dream. It was written down with sparkling golden letters and the person who wrote it had a beautiful handwriting. Only a god could have written this!

Than it dawned on me. This book is no joke. I also realized I could do amazing things for people. that is why the title read 'how to become a god.' And, that's also why that quote is so important. To remind the person reading that the need to use their powers for good, and not for evil. I decided to lay the book down for now so I could go see my dad.

on my way to him I felt the same as in my dream. The lush crops. The vibrantly colored flowers. The sweet smell of honey. except this time there were animals. Birds and butterflies flying elegantly thru the air. Bees pollinating all of the thousands of flowers. Bunnies frolicking happily in the grass. These are the moment where you have to appreciatie life.

And appreciating life my father did. I have never seen him this happy before. And I saw his face after giving birth to my sister. The moment he saw me, he picked me of the ground and did a little dance with me still in his arms. 'It's a miracle!' He said. 'It's a goddamn miracle! We are saved from starvation! We are rich!' This happening gained a lot of traction. So in about half an hour the whole neighborhood was standing in my fathers farm. Just in awe of what had happened last night.

Now I was the only one who had that dream last night, and I was smart enough to don't tell anybody about the dream. Because the news of a miracle in Rome spread like wildfire. So in about four hours, the entirety of Rome knew about the miracle, but also about my fathers farm. Somehow, I was able to escape the crowd and went inside.

Our house wasn't directly attached to the farm, but it is across the street. That way, I could still hear my own thoughts apart from the overwhelming crowd that was forming on the farm. I went upstairs, grabbed the book and started reading further. Firstly, I got to the introduction. But there was something peculiar about it. The only chapter it was displaying was chapter 1. But I didn't think to much about it and read further. The first chapter read:

Chapter 1, Your first miracle.

If you are reading this book, its powers have already settled down in you. This book acts as a guide on how to use these powers. The first thing you may have noticed, is that there is only one chapter. New chapters will reveal themselves if the book thinks you have mastered the current chapter. to start things of simple is you that you are going to preform you first miracle. This miracle has to be something simple. To preform this miracle, simply think about what miracle you want to let happen, and go to sleep. In your sleep, you will have a dream about that miracle. When you wake up, the miracle will have happend in real life. (Note: If you get a nightmare, this means that your miracle was to complex) Good luck!
