Araceli POV
Tomorrow morning.
I went to Silver Group this time to install my software to Silver Group's product program.
I was driving, and my kids were sitting in the back seat.
Krish said to me, "Mommy, I will take care of Valeria later, so don't worry and go to work."
"Thank you, Krish. I will finish the work as soon as possible..."
I turned my head and looked in horror at a car in front of me. I couldn't react in time and hastily slammed on the brakes.
Then, there was a thud.
I rear-ended the car in front of me.
Shit... That car was a Maybach.
I immediately checked on my kids. They were both fine.
I breathed a sigh of relief.
However, Valeria suddenly took hold of the door handle and pushed hard.
The door was pushed open a crack.
"Valeria, honey, you can't open the door now," I said to her gently.
Valeria didn't listen to me, pushed it open, quickly jumped out of the car and ran to the car in front of us.
I saw a man get out of that car.
He was tall, dressed in a black suit, and had a cold look in his eyes. I froze for a moment, feeling an unprecedented sense of oppression. I had to admit he was indeed handsome and hot.
His face was icy cold and perfect.
He was impatiently about to walk over when Valeria suddenly rushed toward him and threw her arms around his thigh.
That man froze. So did I.
I immediately opened the door and rushed over.
He took a step back, trying to avoid Valeria.
Valeria stepped forward and wrapped her arms around his thigh.
His face turned grim. "Let go."
Another man hurried over. "Mr. Lancaster..."
That man was supposed to be his assistant.
His assistant tried to hold Valeria, but Valeria didn't want to be touched by him at all, and she even began to cry.
I was shocked.
Why did she like this man so much?
I rushed over.
I saw this man raise his hand, grab Valeria by the back of her collar, pick her up, and meet her eye to eye.
Valeria's eyes were clear and bright. She still had some tears in her eyes.
Instantly, his eyes softened considerably.
I sighed with relief.
He said in a low voice, "Who are you?"
Valeria blinked her eyes and shook her head.
I frowned, reached over and held Valeria into my arms.
"Sir, I'm really sorry. I am her mother. I sincerely apologize to you. If she offended you, please forgive her. She didn't mean to do that."
I held Valeria in my arms and slowly said to the man in front of me.
Valeria had always been afraid of strangers, but she tried her best to get close to this man.
I was curious to know why this was.
Surprisingly, I also vaguely felt that this man looked familiar. It seemed I had seen him somewhere...
Wait a minute...
A man's face flashed in my head. I said, "Excuse me, are you Mr. Lancaster? Raphael Lancaster?"
Raphael glanced at Valeria and me with contempt and didn't answer me.
He turned his head slightly a second before getting into the car and stared at Valeria.
I narrowed my eyes.
I had been away from New York for five years, but I would never forget this man.
Back then, I was known as the most beautiful daughter of all the wealthy families in New York, and Raphael was known as the most handsome son. He came from the richest family in New York, Royal Pack, and he would have been a Lycan King by now.
Many people conceived a lot of romantic stories with him and me as the main characters.
Although he and I had never met, I had seen his picture too many times, so of course I knew him.
I was 100% sure that the man was Raphael Lancaster.
Something suddenly occurred to me.
Did he think I was using Valeria to get to him on purpose?
I rolled my eyes in the direction he left.
What a narcissistic man.
I looked down at Valeria, only to find that Valeria was still looking at Raphael's car.
I was slightly surprised and said, "Valeria, do you know him?"
Valeria did not react to my question.
Until the car disappeared down the road, Valeria turned her head and hugged me around the neck.
The car continued to drive and soon stopped at the entrance of Silver Group.
I dropped the two children off in the lounge and went into the office.
The man sitting in the office was one of the members of Silver Fang and my cousin, Eliezer Felton.
Eliezer had gone to study abroad as a child and came back to the country a year ago, so I never got to know him very well.
However, Eliezer was outstanding in computer technology. Otherwise, he couldn't have stood out among so many children from Silver Fang.
"Araceli, show me the software," Eliezer said to me seriously.
I sat down in front of the computer and kept tapping at the keyboard.
Soon, a software interface came out.
I knew that Eliezer also studied programming, and he was stunned when he saw the functions of Creaty.
It was an artificial intelligence software that could handle many complex codes, spreadsheets, pictures, and even videos.
If Silver Group used Creaty to optimize their products, then it would definitely grab a huge share of the market.
"Eliezer, I have already installed Creaty into the system. Now, you just need to connect the internal..."
I explained the operation steps clearly, including many of the smallest details.
Eliezer looked at me appreciatively and smiled, "Thank you, Araceli."
I smiled and said, "Don't be. Your father was willing to trust me so that I could have the opportunity to make 'Creaty' useful."
He and I were about to go over the samples the company had made when the secretary suddenly walked in.
"Mr. Felton, Ms. Chancey is waiting outside."
I frowned.
Ms. Chancey?
Melany Chancey?
Eclipse Group was established with the great help of Silver Group, so the two companies had a deep relationship.
Although Silver Fang and Eclipse had a falling out five years ago, the business ties were not fully severed. These cooperations involving profit and money would never be dissolved because of some personal conflicts.
I turned my head and asked, "Eliezer, what projects Silver Group is currently working on with Eclipse Group?"
"Eclipse Group wants to work with us on smart products." Eliezer said, "But they have not been showing enough sincerity, so we're hesitant to sign the contract yet."
I nodded and smiled, "Eliezer, if you trust me, can you leave this to me?"
I stared into Eliezer's eyes with confidence.
Eliezer probably guessed what I was trying to do.
Last night, he made a trip to Silver Fang's villa. Perhaps he had heard from Veronica about what happened five years ago and knew that I was going to take revenge on Eclipse.
Eliezer said, "Araceli, you're the technical expert on this project. You have the authority to decide anything. This project is in your hands now."
"Thank you, Eliezer."
I breathed a sigh of relief.
