Chapter 109

edit, When I finally woke up, it was already dawn on the second day.

I was slightly surprised to see the red bloodshot eyes in Mr. Eugen's gaze. After a night of rest, I was obviously feeling much better, but he looked much more exhausted.

"Did you not sleep at all last night?" I asked. As I looked at the stubble on his face, I felt a touch of emotion in my heart. And seeing his bloodshot eyes, filled with concern, a warm feeling suddenly surged within me.

"Nat, are you feeling better?" However, Mr. Eugen didn't answer my first question. Instead, he asked about my well-being with concern.

My heart skipped a beat, even more violently. I nodded, "Yes, I'm fine."

Although I had fallen into a deep sleep last night, I still felt his strong body trembling as he held me. He was afraid, just like me. I was afraid because of the terrifying experience, and he was afraid because of me.
