RICHARD surprised, "Alex, is that you?"

ALEX awkwardly answered, "I've been busy with work, but I'm here now."

RICHARD doubtful, "And who's this young lady you're with?"

Alex hesitates, unsure of how to navigate the situation.

EMMA answered gracefully, "I'm Emma, and I'm an artist. It's lovely to meet both of you."

Victoria's polite smile remains, but Richard's expression hardens.

RICHARD in a cold tone, "An artist, you say?"

RICHARD still as cold as ice, "It's an interesting choice, bringing an artist to a gathering of architects."
