Why did he think she would be willing?

Charlotte Green grumbled internally, but still didn't get up to leave.

The room was completely dark, with only the Illumination Lamp shining, and Charlotte knew it was already dark outside. She hadn't realized that she had fallen asleep while lying down.

"If you can't bear to leave, just say it. There's no need to hide," Kevin Cliff murmured in a low voice.

"Who can't bear to leave? I just... just..." Charlotte was both angry and anxious, but couldn't find a valid reason.

His voice remained cool, as if he was blaming her, but it also seemed like he was joking.

Joking? Could this stern and strict man actually jest with someone?

"And you've chosen quite the place," he added.

Unable to see the room's layout under the dim and blurry light, Charlotte asked, "Whose room is this?"

"Mine."

Almost as soon as he said this, Charlotte flipped over and sat up. How could it be his room? Of all places to sleep, she had to end up in his room!
