It never ends! Annoyed, she turned to glare at him only to hear him speak in a very serious tone, "Move over, I need to sleep too."

At his words, she sat up as if startled, "Then you sleep, I won't."

Seeing her skittishness, he said, "Look at you, like a frightened bird. The kids are here; what do you think I could possibly do to you?"

Charlotte Green gave him a 'who knows' look, but she obediently moved over, very carefully, as if afraid of making too much noise and waking up Chris. Chris, however, turned over and fell back asleep, conveniently making more space for them.

"Good lad."

From behind, Kevin Cliff's smug voice could be heard, followed by the mattress dipping beside her, indicating that he had lain down. Even worse, his hand brazenly swept over and encircled her without restraint.

Charlotte wanted to struggle but heard him say, "Stop moving, Chris clearly just now didn't seem to be sleeping well."

Obviously, he knew this was Charlotte's weak spot.
