Chapter 27: He Doesn't Want Himself

"I don't know her." Arthur Lindsey spoke without hesitation.

His voice was velvety but held a tone as cold as ice.

"Did you hear that?" Rosie Carter laughed convulsively, as though she were watching a joke unfold. "I really shouldn't have bothered with you!" she jeered at Ella Lacey. "What makes you think that a mere high school student like yourself could know the CEO of the Lindsey Group? And you even had the audacity to claim that you've shared his bed! Where's your shame?"

Rosie Carter was so enraged her face turned bright red as she bellowed at Ella Lacey.

The high school math workbook Ella Lacey had handed to her gave her away, with "Yunhai No.1 High School Senior Exclusive Practice Questions" printed on the header. Rosie Carter held the book like evidence, stepping on it forcefully.

At that moment, Ella Lacey could do nothing but stand there, her cheeks growing redder by the moment as she stared at Arthur Lindsey, unable to muster a single word in her defense.
