Chapter 57: Not Out of Life-Threatening Danger

"After hanging up the phone, Amber Sherwood seemed to have been struck by lightning. Her face contorted, her body shook, and she was on the brink of losing consciousness.

Louis Jefferson quickly moved to support her, anxiously asking, "What's happened? Has something happened to Sally?"

Amber collapsed, tears streaming from her eyes as she choked out, "The police... they said she's been in a... car accident. She's... at the hospital..."

"Stop crying. Let's go to the hospital and assess the situation."

Louis remained calm as he asked one of the household staff to keep an eye on Amber. He then went to the garage to start the car, helped her into the vehicle, and they sped off to the hospital.

They arrived at the city hospital at 10 p.m.

After registering at the emergency desk, a member of the medical staff led them to the emergency ward.
