Chapter 116: The Parable of the Dandelion

Two hours had passed and Arthur Lindsey was on the verge of despair.

The representatives from the international organization informed him, "Mr. Lindsey, we deeply regret to inform you. We've searched every inch of B Country, but we can't find any trace of Miss Ella Lacey."

"You bunch of idiots!" Arthur roared, "Keep searching for her! If you can't find her, all of you can pack up and leave!"

Just then, Dilbert Walker's call came through, "Mr. Lindsey, we've found a lead on Miss Lacey, she's returned to her home country!"

"Really?" Arthur's heart, frantic and desperate, instantly surged with new hope, his deep raspy voice filled with a rare excitement.

Although Dilbert only heard two words, did he detect a note of tear-choked emotion? Was Mr. Lindsey so worried about Miss Lacey that it brought him to tears?

Dilbert was once again taken aback. This was, after all, a man known for his ruthless coldness.
