Chapter 180: Is Juliette Jones's Man Arthur?

Ella Lacey drifted into a deep sleep after drinking her medicine soup.

Arthur Lindsey watched over her throughout the night...

...

The next day, early morning.

A fresh, red sun lazily ascended from the east, casting its light on the sparsely populated He family bay.

Streams of white smoke from various chimneys spiraled upwards into the semi-empty sky.

The local people lived simple, pure lives.

Ella was awakened by the crowing of roosters and barking dogs outside.

As she stepped outside to observe the untouched life outdoors, she noticed Arthur, who was grinding fresh soymilk on a stone mill.

"Ella, are you feeling better?" Arthur shared a concerned gaze from his obsidian-like black eyes.

"Mmhm, much better."

Ella nodded, she ran over to him, watching the pulp drip into the mill. Excitedly, she asked, "Will it taste better than the soymilk from an electric grinder?"

With that, she reached out to taste it.
