Chapters 396-398: Return to Your Birthplace

Several days passed in a row.

They spent them all in these primitive mountains and fields.

Sleeping in caves, eating game, drinking spring water, as if time itself had stopped…

One day, they got up bright and early.

Arthur Lindsey brought Ella Lacey to the seaside. His tall figure cast a shadow on her forehead. He spoke in a heartwarming manner, "Ella girl, how about I catch a couple of sea fish for you?"

"Arthur, you have to be careful." Ella Lacey had a fear of deep water, and always felt that there were ghosts in it.

But Arthur Lindsey comforted her with a reassuring smirk, jumped and plunged into the sea without a trace.

"Arthur, you have to be quick! Don't stay in the sea for too long!"

Ella Lacey cupped her hands into a megaphone shape, and shouted out to the vast sea.

Five minutes had passed, and Arthur Lindsey hadn't surfaced once.

Ella Lacey felt a strange sense of panic.

Could he have run into trouble holding his breath for that long?
