Chapter 415: Finally waiting for Arthur!

"Come in."

Ella Lacey wasn't afraid of him, with Gabor around, she was afraid of nothing.

She switched on the TV in the living room as she entered. Brandon Cliff, who was quite family with her, was sitting on the sofa with legs crossed.

Out of the etiquette of hospitality, Ella Lacey poured him a cup of water, without adding tea leaves.

She did not want him to mistakenly think that she had a favorable impression of him.

She would save where she could.

Brandon accepted the boiled water with a look of surprise on his face, but still put on an extravagant smile, showing eight teeth. "Thank you, Miss Ella."

Just then, there came a knock at the door. "Knock, knock."

It was subtle.

Ella knew who it was.

No one else knew where she lived.

Indeed, when she opened the door, Norman Linton stood outside, travel-worn.

"Miss Lacey, I apologize for disturbing you so late," he said gentlemanly at the threshold.

"No worries, come in. There are others in the house," Ella welcomed him in.
