The next day.
Early in the morning.
Elena Finnegan was awakened by a loud "clang" of a door opening. A sliver of bright, snowy light filtered in from outside the door. She was just about to lift her eyes to see which of Arthur's courtyards she was in when
a black leather bag was pulled over her head again, plunging her view into instant darkness.
The bodyguard's voice came through, "We're releasing you now, follow us."
Then, almost without choice, she was taken away by two bodyguards.
She half-jokingly said, "Brother, you're just letting me go like this? Does your boss agree?"
"Nonsense! Would we dare release you without his command?" the bodyguard still treated her as a criminal, his tone not at all friendly.
They had originally planned to torture her for a few days to see whether she would admit to the unauthorized photographs.
But with the boss's orders, they released her.
No one dared to defy them.
