Chapter 842: Call Her Ella

Because she hadn't fallen asleep from exhaustion like yesterday, but instead restrained herself, needing to stay conscious, she grasped Arthur Lindsey as he prepared to leave.

She asked, "Mr. Lindsey, why do you always appear at night and leave during the day?"

"You haven't fallen asleep, have you?" Arthur Lindsey was somewhat surprised.

He stayed by her side for a while, watching her close her eyes, and slowly drift into exhausted sleep.

It was, in fact, feigned sleep.

"Mr. Lindsey, why do you treat me like this..." Elena Finnegan, taking on the persona of Journalist Finnegan, accused him.

Her tone carried a trace of "humiliation."

"Don't you enjoy it, hmm?" Arthur Lindsey's lips twisted into a wicked smirk, extremely provocative.

"..." Elena Finnegan was momentarily at a loss for words, then cleverly responded, "Don't you love Miss Ella Lacey anymore? How can you treat a stranger like this..."

"I still love her."
