Chapter 5 The Wedding Night

The media couldn't risk offending Ocean Entertainment Group, even though they had no idea why Ocean would help Monica Baldwin.

Even Meghan couldn't understand how their plan had gone so smoothly. She had assumed there would be several days of quarrelling with Sonora and had asked: "Monica, did another company try to poach you?"

"No." Monica glanced at Victor Chadwick beside her and answered, "But someone did help me from behind the scenes. As for who, I can't reveal that at the moment."

"Hahaha… That's okay, we can talk about it later. Just thinking about the distressed look on Nathaniel Hanson's face makes me feel so satisfied!" Meghan assumed that Monica was utilizing her family's background.

She never would have guessed that Monica would become the blitz bride of Victor Chadwick, the emperor of the entertainment industry.

"Do you want to use this incident to leave Sonora?" Victor asked Monica elegantly while cutting his steak.

"No… To leave like this would be too lenient on those two. I want them to fall from the highest heights," Monica replied calmly, "Moreover, I've already decided to re-enter this industry. Although my popularity isn't as high as before, Sonora still has its uses."

"You are just angry now. What if one day you no longer hate…"

"Decisions I've made, I never regret, nor turn back on." Monica declared confidently to Victor. When she loves, she can give with her whole heart. When she hates, she can personally destroy him.

In addition, several hours had passed since her double's exposure. Nathaniel didn't even make a consoling call but sent a press release that would ruin her reputation. She wouldn't possibly let Nathaniel have another chance to harm her.

Victor didn't respond but had developed a keen interest in Monica.

Monica was not too stupid, but rather too clever. She knew what would happen if she lied to him, so she didn't hide anything from him, be it good or bad. This was an act of trust.

"I've asked my assistant to arrange a suite in this hotel. We'll stay here tonight; it wouldn't be as exciting to go home…"

Monica's ears turned red but she nodded: "Your wish…"

Nathaniel was busy dealing with the media and business partners. Not to mention finding out that Arianne Chadwick was pregnant, he couldn't even remember which number Monica was on his list, let alone know about Monica's whereabouts.

After a romantic dinner, Monica followed Victor into the presidential suite, a newlywed suite to be specific.

Despite the hasty marriage, Victor still managed to consider these details for her. Naturally, Monica felt warmth towards his thoughtfulness, which the other man would never even think about.

Seemingly realizing Monica's anxiety, Victor took off his suit and turned to her: "I will take a shower first, this will give you time to get ready. If you have any hesitations… we can indefinitely postpone our wedding night."

Monica appreciated his consideration and watched him enter the bathroom. But… they were obviously married, why should she make Victor cater to her caprices?

With these thoughts in mind, Monica pushed the door into the bathroom. In Victor's surprised gaze, she reached out and embraced Victor's strong body: "I have no regrets!"

"Are you sure? Once you become mine, there's no chance to reconsider." Victor said in a restrained manner, his low and sexy voice was like a tantalizing musical note, incredibly intoxicating.

"I'm very clear."

With these words, Victor no longer needed to restrain himself. He wrapped one arm around Monica's waist to kiss her lips, and with his other hand, he slowly lifted her soaking wet dress.

Monica's head buzzed. She never knew a kiss could have such magical power, making her almost lose her reasoning.

Under the shower head, Monica dazedly looked at Victor's handsome face, at the black mole that shone like a diamond on his earlobe, at his passionate gaze, which slowly consumed her.

However, even at this intimate moment, he didn't rush to possess her. Instead, he wrapped her with a clean towel and carried her to the white large bed covered with roses. Subsequently, his towering figure pressed down on her. He prepared contraception, but when he finally entered her, he felt a clear obstruction…

Monica cried out in pain, and Victor withdrew immediately, wrapping her up with the bedding.

He had assumed that Monica, being in the entertainment industry and having been with Nathaniel, couldn't possibly be a virgin. But… the sensation just now couldn't be wrong; she didn't actually have any experience…

"What's wrong?" Monica felt Victor stop and couldn't help but lift her head to ask. With her cheeks blushing crimson, she was incredibly enticing.

"Let's try again next time." Victor said surprisingly yet regretfully, for he had misunderstood Monica.

"Did I not satisfy you?"

"If I keep going like just now… you will definitely get hurt." Victor put on a bathrobe and returned to the large bed, trying hard to quench his desires. He didn't want Monica's first time to be terrible, "Why didn't you tell me you have no experience?"

"How could I bring up such a thing?" Monica answered from the crook of Victor's shoulder, "You would find out eventually."

"And what happened just now? Did we do … it, or not?"

"Whether we did it or not, you are Mrs. Chadwick now, there's no escaping…" Victor replied, then got up, put Monica in a horizontal carry, and went into the bathroom, "Let me check if you're hurt."

Monica saw his worried look and couldn't help but laugh: "You're nothing like how they describe you."

"Then what do you think I'm like?" Victor put her in the bathtub and started to run the water again.

"The Emperor of Artist Life and Death. Cold-hearted, ruthless, and inhumane."

"I am like that toward others," Victor said seriously, "But you… since you've become my wife and trust me, I will show you my true side."

"But Monica, there is one thing I must warn you about."

"For me, one act of unfaithfulness is unforgivable. Any deception or betrayal will not be forgiven."

Monica sat up comfortably, almost nose-to-nose with Victor: "What a coincidence, I feel the same."

That night, their relationship was only half physical, but their hearts had quickly come together. The next morning, Monica woke up in the blinding sunlight, but the space next to her was already cold.

Monica thought Victor had already left, but… he was sitting elegantly in the living room, reading documents and waiting for her.

"I have prepared new clothes for you in the bathroom. Get ready. We will leave after."

Monica nodded, turning to walk towards the bathroom. However, Nathaniel called at that moment.

Monica was somewhat embarrassed, but Victor raised an eyebrow flirtatiously: "Would you like me to answer?"
