The whole of the next day, Nathaniel Hanson was absent from his office at Sonora Entertainment. When he returned to his apartment in the evening, he reeked of alcohol. Arianne Chadwick moved closer, gently nudging his shoulder. "Nathaniel… Nathaniel…" 


Nathaniel's incoherent mumbling due to his drunken state rendered what he was trying to say indistinguishable. Arianne opened his briefcase and discovered an agreement between Nathaniel and Mr. Davis. Arianne, unable to read it immediately, snapped a photo with her mobile phone before returning the agreement to its place. 


Sometime later, Nathaniel opened his eyes. Seeing Arianne, he sobered instantly and pushed her forcefully. "Arianne, you're free now. Take care of that child however you want... feel free to move out whenever you want. We are... settled..."


After speaking, Nathaniel rose and entered his bedroom, slamming the door shut with a loud bang that reverberated through the air.
