Overnight, the way everyone looked at Monica Baldwin had changed. Their gazes were enviable, jealous, resentful, and unwilling. Everyone was gossiping about Monica, their voices low and secretive, yet, none of them dared to provoke her.
The reason was simple, Monica was now labeled as Victor Chadwick's.
If someone no longer wished to be part of this circle, they could try challenging Victor's authority.
Monica frowned unconsciously, and Robin Stewart noticed it. She couldn't help but ask, "This is something you have to endure. Hang in there."
"I need some time to get used to it," Monica replied, "and I have many uncertainties about the future."
"Believe in the two of you, you can build a future together!"
Monica nodded, and the awards ceremony was drawing to a close. Elena Eillie, frightened of being called to account by Victor, tried to leave earlier but was stopped by Robin, "Miss Eillie, are you leaving so soon? Is it because you're afraid of reckoning with Boss Chadwick?"
