Chapter 796: Monica Baldwin is the Best Example of a Counter-Attack

Mrs. Lewis and Mr. Lewis had prepared the best baby crib and the best baby supplies for their granddaughter, but Meghan could tell that Mrs. Lewis wasn't truly happy about all this. It seemed she wanted a grandson instead.

There was some tension in the house. Anthony, however, seemed to understand all of this and told Meghan, "You fed the baby late last night, go in and rest now."

Meghan nodded. It was things like these that made Anthony such a reliable partner; he always knew about her difficulties.

"What about the baby?"

"I'll put her to sleep, and call you when she's hungry."

With no worries in her mind, Meghan decided to retreat to the bedroom.

Anthony tried to feel out the situation in front of his mother with his daughter, but she completely ignored the morning's incident and acted perfectly normal. Anthony did not expose her, instead, he waited for lunchtime.

Meghan felt more relaxed due to Anthony's protection. However, the atmosphere turned tense again during lunch.
