"If you can't let go, why would you force yourself to give up being an actress?" Victor Chadwick casually flipped open the synopsis, his fingers tracing the pages. "You still want to act."
"But I have a better candidate in mind. I want Stella to play the part," Monica Baldwin said. "The sci-fi movie involves a lot of fighting scenes, and I think she would do them better."
"But I'd rather you played the role." Victor looked at Monica very seriously.
"Your hopes can't change things." Monica spoke cryptically, then glanced down at her belly. "Even if I wanted to push myself, the baby inside me wouldn't allow it."
"Hmm?" Victor paused, seemingly unable to grasp her meaning.
