"How do you know?"

"Because I'm smart."

"Heh."

Joel Russo rubbed her hair and said nothing, leading her to the bed and tucking her into the covers.

Snuggled in Joel Russo's arms, Arabella Vanderbilt sighed.

"Soon I really will have to get used to your embrace. I now feel that if I'm not held by you, if I can't smell your scent, sleep becomes an incredibly difficult task! What on earth should I do?"

Joel Russo tightened his hold on her arm, a low chuckle resonating from above her head.

"What should you do? Just don't leave me."

"Mm... and you won't leave me, right?"

Joel Russo looked down at her, his gaze clashing with her bright, starry eyes.

Reflected in her eyes were his own dark ones, and he could even clearly see the expression in his reflection.

He leaned down and gently kissed the tip of her nose, "I won't leave you, so marry me soon!"
