Nathaniel York remained calm and nonchalant as he pulled out a napkin to wipe the corner of Matilda Jenkins's mouth, "Isn't this just dedication from Milly?"
Had it not been for Matilda's dedication, he wouldn't have been willing to give up the precious time he could spend holding her in his sleep.
Scarlett Glenn gritted her teeth, finding Nathaniel's thick-skinned nature to be quite something. She put down her chopsticks, "Just right, Thomas took leave today, so you can be my temporary assistant."
"You want to make me do the dirty work, eh?"
"When I tell you to do it, you just do it." Matilda slapped Nathaniel on the head and ran Next Door to get her mobile phone and bag.
Left alone in the Bedroom, Nathaniel and Scarlett eyed each other, exchanging glances that sparked like flint on steel.
Scarlett glanced sidelong, "Shouldn't you be willing to work for me? I see that you have such stamina, surely you haven't run out of energy today?"
