Mrs. Herd's body pressed against Miles Martin, the buttons on his clothes were cold, making her shiver uncontrollably when she realized she was wearing no clothes, and the unspeakable marks on her body made her feel so ashamed she wanted to die.
Miles Martin scooped her up around her waist.
Mrs. Herd struggled, "Put me down."
"Stop moving."
Mrs. Herd clenched her teeth and forced herself not to move.
A woman, without clothes, in front of a man—the feeling... it was too damn embarrassing!
...
10 minutes later, the doorbell rang.
The door opened, and Scarlett Glenn first saw Mrs. Herd, smiling, "Mum, let's go have dinner, and then we'll head to the airport."
Scarlett Glenn was planning to head back to Loch City first, to meet up with Matilda Jenkins and Thomas, before going to the film crew.
Mrs. Herd didn't dare look at Scarlett Glenn, nodding hastily, "Uh, yes, yes..."
"Eh, Mum, you look a bit pale, are you feeling alright?"
Mrs. Herd shook her head quickly, "No... no."
