Chapter 1268: Midnight is the Best Time to Destroy the Evidence

Samuel Campbell cried out in pain, wanting to scream, but Nathaniel York quickly silenced him.

Thomas closed his eyes in fright, "Mum, that's too brutal, way too brutal..."

Nathaniel York looked at Thomas and urged him to get on with it. What was he dawdling for? Didn't he realize what time it was? If they didn't finish up and leave soon, they could be discovered—after all, Winna Campbell and her Assistant lived in this courtyard.

With gritted teeth, Thomas thought, "This bastard had indecent designs on Scarlett; he deserves a beating..."

So, with a ruthless resolve, Thomas raised the wooden stick in his hand and aimed for the back of Samuel Campbell's head, striking down hard.

Samuel Campbell twitched in pain, his mind was full of worries whether this blow would end his lineage, and then, with a thud, his head took a solid hit from the stick.

Darkness clouded his vision, and his body went limp.
