"What did you say? You just mentioned you were closest to him, did you notice anything unusual, anything particular?" Qin Xue asked the civilian who spoke up.
"There was nothing special, he fell right by my feet and that's when I turned to look at him." The man replied after hearing Qin Xue's question.
"Did the leads dry up again?" Qin Xue said, somewhat disappointed.
"Master, earlier someone saw a man dressed in black arguing with him, something about not wanting to do it anymore, saying the gang leader had been good to him and he couldn't betray him. they parted on bad terms, and not long after, this man was attacked." Xue Ling whispered this as she approached Qin Xue.
"Did you see Chu Molin, does he know about this?" Qin Xue asked Xue Ling.
"I didn't see the master, did he go asking for clues too?" Xue Ling had come from the opposite direction and had not seen Chu Molin, maybe he had been on a different corner all along.
