"Mark? Bloodline?" Qin Xue seemed to have grasped something, but also as if she hadn't.
"What's wrong?" Chu Molin saw his wife deep in thought, not knowing what she was thinking about.
"Nothing." Qin Xue shook her head, unsure herself what to say. She just felt something odd, but couldn't put her finger on what.
"Dad, is this my older brother?" Nangong Beiying, seeing the sombre mood of everyone, asked her father.
"Yingying, let someone keep watch while we discuss things in the study. Don't let anyone come near." Nangong Kunpeng seemed to have thought of something after the previous incident, hence he instructed his daughter.
"Alright." Nangong Beiying sensed the gravity of the situation.
"Wait, I need to get someone in first." As everyone started getting up to move to the study, Qin Xue suddenly spoke up.
"Okay." Nangong Kunpeng didn't know whom she wanted to bring, but he didn't decline her request nonetheless.
