Chapter 8 What A Big Pig_1

"What do you mean you didn't notice?" David roared angrily. "I think you did it on purpose!"

"You're helping that little whore!"

Brittany's lips curled up. She didn't expect Sam to be so two-faced.

David couldn't take the pain anymore. He turned around and snatched Mrs. Woods's money bag. He reached into it and felt around for an ounce of silver coins. He took them out and threw them in Brittany's direction.

Brittany's eyes and hands were quick. She reached out and grabbed the silver coins.

She turned around and went into the kitchen. "Mother, here's the silver coins."

Mrs. Long, who was washing the dishes, was stunned. "For me?"

"You should keep the money you earned."

Brittany stuffed the money into Mrs. Long's arms and said with a smile, "Mom should hold it."

She knew that she couldn't hold on to this ounce of silver coins. Madam Cook would soon find trouble to take the silver coins away. If she didn't give her, she would be beaten and scolded.

It would be different if she gave the silver coins to Mrs. Long.

She also wanted to save up money, but not now.

After giving the silver coins, she turned around and came out, still holding the chopper in her hand.

David looked at her fiercely. "I've given you the silver coins. Hurry up and treat me."

"If you dare to cheat me of my money and I can't be cured, watch how I deal with you!"

Brittany hesitated for a moment and glanced at Sam.

Her eyes seemed to be able to speak, and Sam quickly understood what she meant.

She wanted to treat David's arm, so she couldn't possibly be holding a knife.

However, once she put down the chopper, she lost her sense of security.

Sam quietly approached David and nodded at Brittany.

Brittany heaved a sigh of relief. She put down the chopper and walked toward David.

She grabbed David's arm and suddenly looked up at the sky. "Ah, what a big pig flying in the sky."

David instinctively looked up at the sky.

At this moment, Brittany pulled and pushed her arm back to its original position.

She quickly ran away.

David was still looking up." Where are the pigs flying in the sky?"

Sam couldn't help but laugh.

Only then did David realize that he had been tricked. He flew into a rage out of humiliation and raised his arm to point at Brittany. "Are you fooling me? Just wait. I won't let you off."

Mrs. Woods, who was beside him, exclaimed in surprise, "David, your arm is healed!"

Only then did David realize that he had raised his right arm.

He tried to move his arm, and it moved freely without pain.

Mrs. Woods's heart ached again. "Just a push like this is worth one ounce of silver coins?"

"My goodness, I didn't even hear a sound."

Sam glanced at Mrs. Woods and said seriously, "One ounce of silver coins isn't considered expensive. Last time, my classmate also dislocated his arm like David. The county doctor helped him connect it and charged two ounces of silver coins."

In fact, the doctor did not charge him. However, he knew very well that if he did not say so, Mrs. Woods would probably scold Brittany for several days and nights.

During dinner, Madam Cook glanced at Brittany for the first time. "You know how to treat patients?"

Brittany blinked. "I can treat some illnesses, but can't treat other illnesses."

As for what she could and what she couldn't, that was up to her.

Madam Cook didn't say anything. She lowered her eyes and no one knew what she was thinking.

After dinner, Brittany followed Mrs. Long into the room. She hesitated for a moment. "Mother, I want to go back to my parents' home tomorrow."

Mrs. Long turned around. "It's time to go back."

"You haven't returned home since you got married. Alright, it just so happens that Sam is at home. Tomorrow I'll let Sam send you back."
