Olivia's POV:
I can't believe I spent the whole day watching a movie, I couldn't go out because Natalie was busy at work and I didn't want to see my parents, and then again I didn't feel like talking to anyone. All I want to do is cry about how my life has been ruined.
Then my phone rang, I stared at the caller and almost dropped my phone when I saw it was Mr. Adams.
"Sir?" I said with a nervous tone.
"Your leave ends today, you need to come to work tomorrow…be there on time," he said then hung up. I frowned, he is always so cold but I feel he has a kind and genuine heart even when he asks me to wear heels and later tells me I don't have to wear them if I can't use them.
"He is so weird," I said, at least he was not a monster compared to Mr. Bennett…I was still curious as to why he had to marry me.
I yawned and held my stomach, I was starving…he got married to me to suffer me.
My eyes widened in shock when I heard a car drive in, I became alert and also nervous. He was back from his trip, I needed to hide…without thinking twice I hurried to the dining and went below the table since the space was enough to fit.
I heard footsteps walk in, he walked upstairs and minutes later he rushed downstairs before retracting his phone "Bruno, Olivia is gone…can you check the CCTV camera" he said and my eyes widened in shock.
Was there a CCTV camera at this house?
"Wait…don't bother," he said and then I saw him approach the table and my heartbeat accelerated.
"Oh yes, did you get the mansion disinfected already? There are a lot of cockroaches especially below the table" he added and I shivered in fear as I stared around but it was dark below the table.
"I just spotted one," Mr. Bennett said when I ran out from my hidden spot while yelling "Cockroach" I dusted my body quickly when I saw the funny smile on Mr. Bennett's face.
Wait, he just tricked me…there is no cockroach. I am such an idiot "Do you think this is funny?" I asked and he shook his head in denial.
He smiled and turned to leave when I said "Mr. Bennett" I called and he glared at me.
"Why did you marry me?" I asked, I needed an answer to this question because I still couldn't believe why he chose to marry me to settle my dad's debt. The debt was nothing compared to the money he had, he could have simply asked her to work the money and even given her a deadline but instead he married her.
"You hate me?" he asked instead and I frowned, was it hard for him to answer my question?
Then he took steps closer to me but I didn't move, his aura was tense but I had to stand my guard and not tremble in fear. When he was a step away from me, I saw him dip his hand into his suit and took out a necklace whose pendant had the shape of a tear.
"For you," he said and the necklace was beautiful, it was the most beautiful thing I had ever seen and it must cost a fortune but I had made up my mind not to accept anything from him, he had ruined my life.
"You seem to like giving me things," I said angrily.
"I will give you everything you want" he replied confidently.
"Then let's get divorced, give me my freedom," I said and I saw he frowned before keeping the necklace back in his suit pocket.
"Let's eat out," he said, and rolled my eyes before walking to the couch and sitting comfortably, I was not going anywhere with him.
"According to the contract, you accepted to do everything I want" his voice echoed around the room and I clenched my fist. He was still talking about the contract and that made me angry, I had signed that under pressure and didn't even have the time to read It carefully.
But this was for my dad, I had to save him from going to jail and I also didn't want to go out with him.
"I don't have anything to wear," I said and this was a good excuse, after all, he didn't give me the time to bring a suitcase.
"That door" he pointed at the door on his left "We will leave in ten minutes," he said and immediately walked upstairs.
I was curious what was behind that door, why did he point at it? I sighed heavily before walking to the door and pushed it open, I discovered it was a bedroom and had a queen size bed.
It was beautifully decorated and the sheets looked new, there were two doors in the room. I assumed one was for the bedroom, then what was the second one for?
I pushed it open and my mouth widened in shock, it was wide enough for a fly to find its way in.
It was like a fashion boutique, there were shoes of different brands aligned and also party gowns, casual wear, and jewelry.
Did Alice not leave with those clothes? I guess this was my bedroom, at least he wasn't a pervert and found it necessary for us to have separate rooms.
From everything I witnessed, calling Mr. Bennett a billionaire was an understatement. This man was a trillionaire but also a monster, since I had no option but to eat out with him I decided to dress casually.
I wore a simple white gown with low slippers, and no jewelry or makeup. At least I could afford this gown, I will only wear things I can afford.
Minutes later I was done and walked out of the bedroom, when I got to the sitting room I found Mr. Bennett sitting on the couch dressed in a shirt and jeans, he looked different in such attire because I had only seen him in suits and a bathrobe of course.
I could see his side figure and also saw how serious he was on the call, I walked a little closer to him because I needed to pick up my phone from the couch he was sitting on.
In an attempt to pick up my phone, my bag mistakenly pushed his car keys from the table and it fell. He glared at me and I got nervous and scared so I quickly crouched down to pick up his keys.
To my surprise he placed his hand at the sharp end of the table while still talking on the phone, I couldn't help but stare at him. I was too careless and could have hit my head on the table but he was considerate.
