AAAAAA once again

"Damn you, system! You lied to me again!" Alex couldn't contain his frustration as he yelled out his exasperation.

This time, Alex's free fall was much shorter, lasting only a few seconds before he realized he was inside the wardrobe. He took in his surroundings, noticing fur coats and leather jackets hanging above him. With a sense of curiosity, he opened the wardrobe door and peered outside, only to realize that he was back in the attic of his pub.

Alex's confusion deepened as he looked out of the window and saw the sun still high in the sky. He couldn't understand how, when he had entered the wardrobe earlier, it was already in the afternoon, and now, after spending a few hours in the other world, it should be night right now.

He decided to seek some answers from the system. "System, did I spend an entire day in that world?"

Ting

"No, host," the system replied. "It's the opposite. Every time you come to a world, I, the all-mighty system, will make time flow faster, and only a few seconds will pass in this world."

Alex didn't know why he could hear a smug tone in the voice of this unreliable system, but he didn't mind it this time. Changing the flow of time in a world is not something a mortal can do.

Alex processed the system's response, trying to wrap his head around the concept of time travel between the two worlds. "So, if I spend an entire year here and then decide to go back, only a few days have passed there?"

Ting

"Exactly, host," the system confirmed. "But I wouldn't recommend it. Delaying your mission progress also delays your personal growth. If you complete your missions steadily, you can gain power and reward more quickly and efficiently, host."

Alex scratched his head, pondering the system's words. "You keep mentioning granting me power, but how do I obtain it?"

Ting

"It's easy, host. You just need to complete quests to earn rewards, including the power you want," the system explained. Earlier, it was going to give a detailed explanation, but Walter and the other villagers interrupted their conversation when Alex arrived in Veridoria.

Now, with no interruptions, the system continued, "You've already made progress on the quest, so you can receive a welcome gift, host. Just say 'quest' to open the mission menu and learn more."

Curious, Alex followed the system's instructions. "Quest," he said.

In an instant, a holographic interface appeared before him, revealing quest details. As he examined the holographic interface, Alex felt a sense of anticipation and determination. There were two active quests and one completed quest displayed:

 QUEST

1. {Bring a Better Civilization to Veridoria (Main Quest)} Progress: 0%

2. {Make the Life of Valorhaven Villagers Better (Side Quest)} Progress: 1%

Hint: - {Find the Reason Why the Valorhaven Villagers Fell Sick and Warn Them} "Completed"

 - {Please explore Valorhaven more to open the quest.}

3. {Please Explore Veridoria more to open the quest}

Unclaimed Reward: 'Random Reward'

Alex was taken aback by the name of the village, "Valorhaven." It seemed rather grand for such a humble place. He couldn't help but ponder the significance of the name.

As he mulled it over, the system chimed in, drawing his attention. "Host, you may not have noticed, but all the villagers you encountered today are true warriors, each possessing formidable power. Even someone like Nivea is incredibly strong. She could defeat a thousand of you without breaking a sweat."

Alex was taken aback by the revelation. It was hard for him to believe that the seemingly ordinary villagers he had encountered were actually powerful warriors. He still couldn't understand how such individuals would fall sick due to something as common as solanine poisoning.

He posed this question to the system once again. "If their bodies are so strong, why did they become ill from mere solanine poisoning? It's not typically deadly, but the effects can be quite severe."

The system responded, "Host, if you look closely, you'll realize that the patients consisted of children, juveniles, and elderly individuals. There were no strong adults among them."

As Alex thought back to the villagers he had seen in Nivea's house, he couldn't help but nod in agreement. "You're right. I didn't notice any strong adults among the sick. So, it affected those who weren't as physically resilient, I see."

Then Alex examined the completed mission in his holographic interface once again and couldn't help but feel a bit perplexed. Typically, in the games he was familiar with, completing a mission involved not only identifying the problem but also resolving it. In this case, the quest only required him to warn the villagers and didn't mention anything about curing them.

Curiosity piqued, he decided to ask the system for clarification. "Hey, System," he inquired, "why does the mission only require me to warn the villagers and not to cure them? In most games, missions involve a clear objective, like acquiring an item or helping someone directly."

Ting

The system's response was clear, "The purpose of the mission is to teach them, Host. It's about imparting knowledge that can help them live better. While there may be future quests related to teaching them how to make medicine, they won't be as direct as buying medicine from your world."

Alex nodded in understanding, realizing the deeper implications of his role in that world. While curing the villagers would have been a direct solution to their current problem, the system's approach was more focused on long-term benefits.

Alex, with determination in his eyes, initiated a conversation with the system regarding the power he desired. He knew he had completed a quest, and it was time to reap the promised benefits.

Alex's curiosity got the better of him, and he asked, "System, what exactly is this 'Random Reward' you mentioned?"

Ting

The system replied annoyedly, "Tsk, Host, how bad is your English? You don't know what random means?" Alex already asked the system nonstop earlier. Even for a kind-hearted system, he could feel annoyed too, he was not paid enough to answer all Alex's questions.

Alex was shocked by what he heard, it was true that he was not the brightest student in the school, but he knew what random meant, he just wanted to become like other novel MCs, where they got a system to answer all their doubt.

Alex, cheeks burning slightly, mumbled, "Alright, alright, I get it. Just showing some enthusiasm, you know?" He wasn't sure if the system could understand sarcasm, but it felt better than admitting he might be a little slow on the uptake."Quest," he said again, the holographic interface reappearing in front of him. He stared at the "Unclaimed Reward: Random Reward" section, a sense of anticipation building in his chest. What could it be? A magical weapon? Super strength? The possibilities were endless.Taking a deep breath, Alex touched the holographic screen, and a burst of light erupted from the interface. When the light faded, a small, unassuming leather pouch lay in his hand. Disappointment washed over him. It wasn't what he had envisioned at all. With a sigh, he opened the pouch, expecting to find a trinket or a cryptic note. Instead, his eyes widened in surprise. Inside was a single, perfect golden seed. It shimmered with an otherworldly glow, pulsating with an unseen energy."What is this?" he asked the system, his voice a mix of awe and confusion.

Ting

"Congratulations, host," said the system. "What you have is a 'seed of strength'. Consuming that seed will grant you a massive amount of power, guaranteeing your victory as a weightlifting champion."

Alex didn't think anymore. The promise of immense power, the dream of becoming a champion, overwhelmed any reservations he might have had. Ignoring the nagging voice in his head questioning the system's motives, he popped the golden seed into his mouth.

Ting

"Warning, host! Your body is not prepared for such a surge of power! The consequences of immediate consumption are unpredictable!"

But the warning came too late. The moment it touched his tongue, a jolt of energy surged through him. It wasn't a pleasant sensation. It felt like a thousand pins and needles were being simultaneously driven into every muscle, every nerve in his body.

Alex let out a primal scream, his voice hoarse and raw, as his body convulsed under the onslaught of power.

"AAAAAAAAA FWAK YOU SYSTEMMMM AAAAAAAA YOU SHOULD TELL-" The world narrowed to a singular point of excruciating pain.
