Chapter 150: Run, Barry, Run

H'el entered the laboratory where the Flash was imprisoned.

A transparent superconductor formed a large experimental room, with superconductors monitoring and altering the properties of high-energy particles in the magnetic field, preventing the Flash from using his vibration power to pass through the superconductor walls.

The Flash, who was sitting inside with a stern expression, noticed H'el's entrance and turned his azure eyes toward him.

"Your Majesty, greetings," said Kryptonian research experts in engineering and physics, quickly bowing in respect upon seeing H'el.

H'el nodded in acknowledgment, allowing them to continue their preliminary research into the birth of the Speed Force.

"Your Majesty, the Flash just woke up and attempted to vibrate himself through the superconductor wall using his speed. We've collected some Speed Force, but we can't store it for long; it's rapidly dissipating," explained a Kryptonian male researcher in a white lab coat, holding a small energy storage tube between his thumb and index finger and handing it to H'el.

The energy storage tube was no larger than a fingertip, and inside the transparent tube, the yellow Speed Force was discharging in a manner resembling lightning charge particles.

H'el took it and held it up to the light. Inside the energy storage tube, only the last trace of yellow electric arc remained, slowly fading away.

H'el placed the energy storage tube back down and handed it to the nearby researcher before turning his gaze to the Flash.

The Flash had never taken his azure eyes off H'el since he entered the room.

"Aren't you and Superman of the same race? The remaining members of a species should stick together rather than engaging in conflict. Superman is your only remaining kin, your family, isn't he?" The Flash's azure eyes conveyed warmth.

He was known as the conscience of the Justice League, and his kindness overflowed.

He was using the woodcutter tactic.

"There are still seven million Kryptonians," H'el responded indifferently.

The Flash was suddenly at a loss for words.

"Flash, start running. I need to collect some Speed Force."

H'el began ordering the researchers nearby to activate the super-magnetic flow ground under the Flash's feet. The treadmill-like surface, powered by a magnetic flow over eighty thousand times the speed of sound, would make the Flash run wildly upon it.

"I won't comply with your wishes. You've killed thousands of humans. Do you think I would listen to you, knowing your cruel and brutal actions? I won't."

The Flash's face remained composed, and his azure eyes flashed with unwavering determination.

Recalling the countless humans who had died due to H'el's actions, the Flash couldn't help but feel a deep sense of guilt.

"Bring Superman's hand and give it to the Flash."

H'el's expression remained unchanged as he casually spoke.

Some researchers quickly began notifying the neighboring laboratory where Superman was, informing them that they were preparing to amputate his hand. They thoughtfully projected an image of Superman inside the biological analysis instrument for the Flash to see.

"Stop!" The Flash looked at Superman in shock and anger, immediately shouting, "What do you want with the Speed Force? You're already powerful enough; you defeated me, who possesses the Speed Force. You have it all under your control. Why do you need it?"

The Flash saw that the researchers didn't halt their preparations. They continued to prepare for the amputation, even setting up numerous beaker instruments for bloodletting and displaying a blue magnetic field particle saw.

"You don't need to understand my actions. By meddling in Krypton's affairs and using the Speed Force to perform superhero theatrics, haven't you considered the consequences of your actions on your own family? Barry Allen, the Flash."

H'el calmly whispered, revealing the Flash's true identity like a demon, causing the Flash's pupils to widen in shock.

Using the soft spot of family was an extremely effective tactic on the Flash. He couldn't ignore Superman's potential suffering from the amputation, let alone the safety of his own family.

Even though his mother had long since passed away, his father in prison and his beloved Iris, who didn't know his true identity, were both precious to the Flash.

Threatening his family resulted in the Flash's anger and hatred towards the threat intensifying to the extreme, but most of the time, his adversaries didn't take the Flash seriously.

Because the Flash was too kind. Even the murderer of his own mother, he could hold back from killing, opting for legal justice instead.

The Flash's adversaries were arguably the safest villains in existence, as the former rarely posed a lethal threat.

"I'll run! Just stop the amputation on Superman and don't involve my family!!"

The Flash clenched his fists with anger, trembling with fury. His blue eyes flashed with anger, and yellow arcs of lightning flickered within his gaze.

H'el waved his hand, immediately ceasing the amputation process on Superman.

As for the Flash's family, H'el casually mentioned it but had no intention of wasting resources dealing with them. The only family member that mattered to him was the Flash himself.

"Barry, run, start running..."

H'el's gaze held a sense of exploration and anticipation as he watched the Flash's body start to envelop itself in arcs of yellow lightning.

Barry, consumed by anger and sorrow, began running wildly on the high-speed airflow platform created by the strong magnetic field. His legs moved so fast that it seemed like he was running on thin air, his yellow lightning arcs blending with his red costume to create a blurry silhouette.

The yellow lightning started spreading toward the superconductor laboratory. Upon contact, it flowed and absorbed into the transmission pipelines, ultimately entering a large energy storage tank.

The Speed Force had a miraculous effect on H'el's body. When H'el first made physical contact with Barry's fist carrying the Speed Force, it seeped through his chest's skin, infiltrating deep into his cellular structure, creating an effect that H'el couldn't fully comprehend.

That sensation was akin to a thirst that had been waiting to be quenched, as if his body instinctively knew it needed something.

H'el was sure that the Speed Force held immense benefits for him, like nourishment or absorbing nutrients, possibly intertwined with his final superpower, time-travel, although he couldn't confirm if he could wield the Speed Force. (A/N: H'el really had the ability to time-travel from comics..)

In his understanding, the Speed Force possessed a will of its own and chose its users. Nevertheless, he would not let such a great power slip through his grasp.

*Bang, bang, bang...*

Yellow lightning seemed to spread out from the superconductor, causing multiple parts of the external circuitry to short-circuit, with sparks flying everywhere.

"Your Majesty, the Speed Force is overwhelming our prepared circuits, and the energy storage tank can't handle the particle motion reactions caused by such excessive Speed Force."

Just as the researchers finished their warning, the energy storage tank cracked and exploded, with yellow lightning spreading like wildfire along the laboratory walls.

"Ahhh!!..." Barry's eyes flickered intensely with yellow lightning. His high-frequency running made his blurred figure appear as a phantom, and he gritted his teeth while roaring in anger.

The transmission pipelines spewed yellow lightning uncontrollably.

H'el strode forward, grabbing one of the transmission pipelines with one hand. The frenzied Speed Force, in the form of yellow lightning, poured into his body.

The yellow lightning began to climb H'el's physique. His black hair ruffled and flew upward, his eyes were penetrated by the yellow lightning, which continuously flickered, striking every particle of air around him, enveloping H'el.

"Barry, run, run faster!" H'el urged.
