"I don't even know where to begin." I stated honestly as I sat down on one of the chairs across from Mikko."
"Sure you do. Don't play coy."
"It's not that. It's just been a long time."
Mikko nodded and leaned back into the chair, ready to answer whatever questions I had. Here was this great opportunity and I had cotton mouth. What did I want to know? Did I even want to know some things?
"Let's just start at the beginning. When Finn sent you to look for me in that club on the night we met, what were you supposed to do with me?"
Mikko let out a big sigh. "I was just supposed to make sure you didn't try to go to the pack house."
"So us talking wasn't really supposed to happen?"
He shook his head. "No. I really didn't have to do anything that night. I could have just left you alone, knowing now that you had no intention of seeing the pack. But as soon as I saw your face, I was just too tempted."
