I Almost Die!

Kaia was frowning as she walked into the mall, followed by her new bodyguard, Nico.

She's been thinking of a way to escape from him but he keeps watching her every move.

She stopped walking and faced him.

"Can you please stop following me? It's so irritating!" she complained.

But Nico said nothing and just kept looking at her.

He only has this cold expression.

"Listen, it's fine if you don't go with me, I won't tell it to yeye. Why don't we have a deal? You can do whatever you want and I will do whatever I want. We will leave the mansion together, then go separate when we are outside. Then I will call you back when it's time to go home and that's it. We will go home together. We can keep this a secret." She said.

"No." Nico replied coldly.

"What? Hey man, I know you don't want to be my bodyguard!"

Nico just stared at her.

Argh! Why bother to ask this one?

"My job is to guard you and make sure that you are safe every time you're outside the mansion, so wherever you go, expect that I'm also there." said Nico.

That was probably the longest sentence she heard from him.

"No way!" she yelled. "I want my privacy and I have the right to say no. Don't tell me if I want to go to the toilet. Will you also join me there?"

Nico smirked.

"Yah! Don't give me that look! I'm serious here!"

"As long as I am here you will never get that privacy that you're saying."

Kaia is even more annoyed.

"Arghh! You are really annoying! I hate you!" she hurriedly walked away.

Nico smiled as he followed her.

"Sure, but dada will leave early tomorrow, dada has to work." Kan replied.

"Dada will leave Ran again, huhu!"

Kan caressed his daughter's face. "Coz dada needs to earn money for his precious princess. Dada will return on Saturday, so don't be sad, okay?"

Zol's face showed disappointment because of what she said.

"She will cry if she sees me leaving again." said Kan.

"Whatever, you two always make drama scenes every time you leave." She rolled her eyes..

Kan glared at her. "Shut your mouth Nyx, can you just do your responsibility as her auntie? And stop complaining." Kan left the house.

"Yah! It's your responsibility, not mine! You're the father!!!!" Nyx shouted.

She sat back on the couch. "Psh. That jerk, why doesn't he just look for his daughter's mother again? Arghh!!!"

Kan approached Manager Song.

"Your next schedule will be this afternoon at 2pm. You have 1 hour of free time." said Manager Song.

"Is that so? I will go to the mall during my free time. I am going to buy something." he said.

"Why you? Why don't you just ask Miao to buy it for you?"

"I want to be the one who decides what I want to buy."

"Then go with Miao."

Kan nodded.

He noticed that Miao was not around.

"Where is Miao?" he asked.

"Ah, I asked her to buy snacks for us." replied the manager.

A staff member called Manager Song, so he left him for a while. Kan walked out to look for Miao. He saw her struggling to carry their snacks.

"Damn! This is so heavy!" Miao complained as she walked back to the filming site.

"Careful! It might fall!" she heard the staff shouting.

Someone was shouting from upstairs but she ignored them because she was busy carrying the snacks.

Kan tried to hold back his laugh while watching her.

"Careful! It might fall!" one of the staff shouted.

He looked up, he saw that they are putting film lights.

"Careful with that one that's heavy!" the staff added.

But with the weight of the lights, the staff accidentally dropped them.

Kan immediately looked at Miao's direction, it would drop on her. He ran quickly towards her.

"Oh my God! watch out!" the staff screamed.

Miao quickly looked up.

She saw the light falling in her direction, she could not move and just closed her eyes with great fear.

Kan quickly pulled her away.

They both fell, the big light dropped in the direction where Miao was standing earlier.

Miao was shocked, when she opened her eyes she saw Kan.

He looks worried.

"Are you all right?" he asked while panting.

"Y-Yes." she replied.

Their faces are so close to each other.

"KAN!!! MIAO!!!" Manager Song ran towards them.

Kan helped her to stand up.

"OMG! are you guys okay? I was so scared when I saw the lights falling, were you two hurt?" the manager asked worriedly.

The staff also approached them.

"I'm fine." Kan replied. He looked at Miao.

"I-Im all right. Don't worry." said Miao.

"Make sure this won't happen again!" the Director yelled at the staff.

He approached Kan. "I'm very sorry about the accident, this will not happen again."

Kan nodded.

Miao has already picked up the plastic bags with their food.

"You should take a rest. Your hands are still shaking." said Kan, then left her.

Miao looked at her hands. Kan was right. She was still shaking.

She really thought she was going to die earlier. She was very nervous.
