Heloise grabbed a skewer of grilled squid and opened her mouth for a big bite.
The spicy sauce on the tender squid whiskers was so rich and flavorful that it nearly exploded in her mouth.
It tasted much better than the wild snakes she had caught and grilled at BlueWolf Mountain.
As Heloise ate, some words came to her mind – The world was well worth living.
When she thought about it, there were always more solutions than difficulties she was confronted with when one lived in the world, and she could surely think of a way to survive on her own in the country and get out of Hyacinth Garden safely and securely.
Reginald could not stay with her for long.
It was no problem for her to be a substitute for somebody, but she was afraid that one day she would be caught pretending to be a psychotic, and with Reginald's unforgiving attitude towards those people on BlueWolf Mountain, she worried that she would die of a bullet piercing her chest like those poor men.
Maybe worse, probably she'd be lynched.
It wasn't uncommon for Reginald to use whatever tactics he could.
"Abel, the documents your family made are really so goddamned hard to tell the real ones from the fake ones, awesome!"
"Eh eh eh, look, it's Coral's interview."
Next to them, several young men, dressed as college students, were chatting animatedly as they ate the great barbecue.
Heloise followed their sight to the TV set propped up in mid-air outside the barbecue stall, and Coral's pretty face appeared on the television.
Heloise took a hard bite of food and watched coldly.
"Coral, you've been working hard for a month, and finally succeeded in picking up a donation from Smith's Consortium on behalf of the children on the Winter Continent. What would you like to say about that?"
A reporter passed the microphone over to her.
Coral stood before the camera, wearing the uniform of Imperial University. Her light makeup made her look like her entire face was full of youthful collagen.
Imperial University, which was used to be Heloise's dream university, but after she turned eighteen, she never dreamed of it again.
Coral smiled modestly, "You guys don't say that please. If you said so, as if I did it alone, in fact, Smith's Consortium has also done it. I just saw that the children on the Winter Continent are too miserable to even afford to study, so I just helped to make a modest contribution."
"Coral, I heard that you studied in the fashion design department at the university. Are you planning to create your own brand?"
The other reporter asked again.
"Of course, I hope I can have my own business brand, but my knowledge still needs to be practical, and I will accumulate it step by step. I think what is the most important for me at this moment should be both study and charity."
Facing the camera, Coral smiled with pure innocence. Every word was a good example of the contemporary youth.
"What about love? I heard that there are a lot of boys chasing you at university, even Darnell Smith, the third son of Smith's Consortium, said in public two days ago that he and you are especially compatible. Is there good news for us?"
Another reporter continued to ask her.
Hearing this, Coral smiled coyly, "No, we're just friends, please don't interpret this matter too much and trumpet it, or I'll ask my lawyer to sue you."
Coral narrowed one eye and made a shooting pose at the camera, cute as hell.
One of the male reporters was bursting out with excited sounds about being teased.
Heh.
It looked like Coral had gotten along just as well as Brady these past three years.
At the same time, this interview created quite a disturbance among the college students too. One of the boys with singed silver hair was there riding roughshod, "Shit, I was at the same university with Coral for two years, why couldn't I sleep with her?"
A wish to sleep with Coral?
Heloise snorted coldly and continued to eat the grilled food in front of her.
"Hey Abel, look over there, that chick is nice." Someone was saying.
The silver-haired man, who was staring at the TV set and couldn't stop fantasizing about Coral, turned his eyes at his fellow's words and looked over to see the girl in a plain long dress sitting at the table, and she was svelte, quiet and well-behaved, with an appearance so watery that they could imagine she was like a fresh and juicy honey peach.
A large plate of grilled chicken claws was put before her, besides, there were other dishes including grilled chicken wings, spicy shrimp and crab, dry-pot lobster, devil spicy lobster, garlic lobster, and also piled up lots of layers of thick beef, mutton ...
